About the Studio

An IT company built like a workshop, run like a science lab.

GOT CAN’D LTD is a privately held information technology company. We design, build, and operate software systems for clients who care about the details.

Our mission

To make ambitious technology feel effortless: reliable systems, honest engineering, quiet operation.

How we work

Small senior teams, weekly demos, transparent roadmaps, and shared ownership of outcomes.

What we refuse

Bloated processes, invisible sub-contractors, and technology decisions that cannot be defended.

By the numbers

A decade of shipping software that stays shipped.

Our story

From a two-person workshop to an international engineering team.

GOT CAN’D LTD began with a simple question: what would happen if a technology company was run by the people who actually build the systems? No account managers as gatekeepers, no ghost teams behind polished slides — just senior engineers talking directly with the people who use the software they write.

Over the years we grew from a handful of engineers into a cross-disciplinary studio spanning software, cloud, data, security and design. The pace changed. The principle did not. Every engagement is still led by the practitioners doing the work.

Today, our teams operate across five delivery hubs, supporting clients from fast-moving startups to national infrastructure operators. The scale is bigger. The standard is the same: build it well, run it responsibly, own the outcome.

Principles

Six ideas we build every project around.

P.01

Boring in the best places

Reach for proven tools first. Save novelty for the problem that actually needs it.

P.02

Small teams, big autonomy

Every squad has the mandate and the skill to make architectural calls.

P.03

Automate the tedium

Tests, deploys, monitoring — anything a human shouldn't do twice.

P.04

Secure by construction

Threat modelling starts on day one, not the day before launch.

P.05

Design is a system

Every screen and API responds to the same set of design tokens and contracts.

P.06

Write things down

ADRs, runbooks, playbooks. Knowledge is a product, not a favour.
